Synopsis:
When sixteen-year-old Tessa Gray crosses the ocean to find her brother, her destination is England, the time is the reign of Queen Victoria, and something terrifying is waiting for her in London's Downworld, where vampires, warlocks and other supernatural folk stalk the gaslit streets. Only the Shadowhunters, warriors dedicated to ridding the world of demons, keep order amidst the chaos.
Kidnapped by the mysterious Dark Sisters, members of a secret organization called The Pandemonium Club, Tessa soon learns that she herself is a Downworlder with a rare ability: the power to transform, at will, into another person. As previously stated in my vlog, I had very high hopes for this book. So far, it's living up to them. The characters are intriguing and really make you want to know more about them and their backstories. I definitely recommend picking this up on release day!
In case you didn't know: Clockwork Angel is the first book in The Infernal Devices series, which is a prequel series to The Mortal Instruments series (City of Bones, City of Ashes, City of Glass, & the soon to be released City of Fallen Angels.) Clockwork Angel comes out August 31st of this year!
